THE STEAKS WERE GREAT!

Last night I shoveled my way to the grill and I fired it up for the first time in months. I used the pepper and garlic marinade that Lisa used the other day and to be honest, I was a little dubious. I was not certain that the marinade would improve the flavor of the steaks, but boy was I wrong! The steaks were nothing short of fantastic. For Sunday's dinner, we will be having leftovers. And wine. Lots of wine. And maybe some hugs.

With all that wine, there might even be dancing!

I blindly applied marinade to the strip steaks the other night. Cooking steaks, for me, is a post-marriage endeavor, so I had no idea what to expect with the garlic/pepper marinade. It was delicious, though. I'll try it on the flank steak next time for comparisons sake.

What's on the menu for New Year's Eve?

I will post the menu tomorrow in a new post, but here is what I plan on serving:

Beef Tenderloin Deluxe
Tossed Greens with Balsamic Vinaigrette
Long Grain & Wild Rice
Some sort of dessert

What are your plans for New Year's Eve?

Those steaks were FABULOUS!! I couldn't believe it. Wow.

With all that wine, there could indeed be dancing, even in the hot tub. ;)
